BSBI Supports Local Networking: Center Dialogue on the Future of Karl-Marx-Straße in Berlin

On November 19, 2024, the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) hosted the Center Dialogue of the Aktion! Karl-Marx-Straße initiative. On its campus in the Alte Post, representatives from retail, gastronomy, culture, politics, and education gathered to discuss the future of Karl-Marx-Straße. Under the motto “Shaping the Future Together”, participants developed ideas for modern location marketing and strategies to strengthen the unique identity of the street.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. (SEU) Sascha J. Flemnitz, a representative of the GUS Germany education network, which includes BSBI, highlighted the importance of local initiatives for educational institutions: “BSBI is deeply rooted in Neukölln, and as a business school, it is essential for us to foster local networking to build bridges between education and business. This dynamic enriches not only the district but also our students, who gain hands-on experience through collaboration with local stakeholders.”

Located directly on Karl-Marx-Straße, BSBI emphasizes the importance of dialogue between educational institutions and the local economy. “Our students benefit from being part of a vibrant and creative environment that also provides space for innovation,” added Prof. Flemnitz.

The event showcased how crucial collaboration and shared commitment are to the sustainable development of a district. The initiative aims to enhance the diversity and creativity of Karl-Marx-Straße as defining features and to promote its reputation beyond Neukölln.
