UE Dubai and BSH Middle East Celebrate Young Sustainability Innovators at the Green Genius Challenge Awards Ceremony
Dubai, UAE – February 4, 2025 – The University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Dubai (UE Dubai) and BSH Home Appliances Middle East celebrated the remarkable achievements of emerging visionaries at the Green Genius Challenge: Eco-Appliance Edition awards ceremony. Held at UE Dubai’s campus on National Environment Day, the event recognized innovative student-driven solutions for sustainable home appliances.
The Green Genius Challenge invited high school students in Dubai to design eco-friendly home appliances, encouraging innovation in sustainable solutions that minimize non-renewable energy use and reduce environmental impact. The award ceremony honored three outstanding projects that showcased ingenuity, feasibility, and significant contributions to eco-friendly design.
His Highness Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Nuaimi, known as “The Green Sheikh”, attended the ceremony and delivered an inspiring keynote address. He emphasized the importance of empowering youth to develop innovative solutions for environmental challenges.
“Our future relies on the minds of the youth, and this challenge offers them a platform to make a meaningful impact. Sustainable innovation in home appliances not only saves resources but transforms how we live and interact with the environment. I look forward to seeing the creativity and solutions these young talents will bring forward,” said Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Nuaimi.
